Key Responsibilities
We've closed our first customers and have a very basic sales process in place. We have an excellent early product that prospects and customers are excited about. We are looking for our founding sales hire to jump in and help drive and develop our end-to-end sales process. You will closely work with the founder to build and close the current sales pipeline while collaborating to ship new features through customer feedback loops and internal visioning. This is a critical role for the company with significant career growth potential. You will help build and potentially lead a sales organization as the company grows.
This is a very consultative sale that requires you to deeply understand the product and guide multiple buyers within the organization from demo to close. You'll be selling to product executives (typically a C-Suite or President/VP) and need to present as competent and credible to these sophisticated buyers. We are looking for someone who loves sales and people, and has previously filled a first sales hire role in the enterprise SaaS space.
Requirements
5+ years experience in sales, business development, or partnership roles
Experience selling software or fintech products with deal sizes (ACVs) $50k-$100k+
Experience working in a startup
Experience selling and closing - not just tee-ing them up for a closer
Experience collaborating with product manager and designers, engineers, or execs. Success here requires you to bring your team in at the right time.
A hunger to win and execute with a track record of beating time and volume quotas
Ability to proactively engage new clients through email and phone
A high sense of urgency coupled with an ability to adapt and pivot in every conversation
Strong communication skills to passionately and clearly articulate the value of Cyphr
A team-player attitude with a desire to improve internal processes beyond your day-to-day tasks
A desire to learn, grow, and launch your career at a cutting-edge financial technology company

How to Apply
What is the interview process like?
1. Send us an overview of problems you have encountered before and how you approached solving them. Please include as much detail as possible: processes, projects, proofs, etc. We will then do a video call to kick things off and go through it (45 mins).
2. We will give you a take-home project related to whatever we are currently working on or allow you to shadow an sales call. Alternatively, if you have a relevant project that you worked on previously that demonstrates your ability to close big sales, you are welcome to use that instead.
3. We will then do a deep-dive through the project over a call and discuss your process, improvements and bottlenecks. Above all, we respect your time and commitment and will keep you up to speed on where we are at during the whole process. Expect this process to last 7-10 business days.
